Collingwood Football Club
The New York Magpies are proud to be affiliate of the Collingwood Football Club.
Established in 1892, the Collingwood Football Club is the biggest and most famous sporting club in Australia. The Collingwood Magpies have won 15 VFL/AFL premierships, and have contested more Grand Finals (42 – including two in 1977 and 2010) than any other club in Australia.
The New York Magpies and Collingwood Football Club both share the black and white colors and the Magpie logo and are both committed to growing the Magpies brand internationally.
2010 was truly the year of the Magpies, with the New York Magpies winning the USAFL National Championships and Collingwood winning the AFL premiership.
The Port Adelaide Magpies compete in the local South Australian competition, the SANFL, and is the feeder club for Port Adelaide in the national competition, the AFL. Several (American) players from the New York Magpies have been awarded scholarships to spend a month training with the Port Adelaide Magpies to improve their skills.
