1. ANZAC DAY EVENT – TICKECTS ON SALE NOW!!!

It’s that time of year for one of NYC’s not-to-be-missed events! This year’s annual ANZAC Day Party extravaganza will be held on Saturday the 22nd of April and promises to be bigger and better than ever! Once again the huge get together will be at the NEW AND IMPROVED Frying Pan dock. The venue has added another bar to reduce wait time and has added another deck above the dance floor, which offers an unobstructed view of the Hudson River and the famous Manhattan skyline.

Entry includes a FREE all-you-can-eat BBQ courtesy of Outback Steakhouse from 2pm-6pm, Live music, dancing, a DJ playing current and classic Aussie Tunes, 5 drink tickets which can be used at any time during the event, heaps of FREE door prizes and all day giveaways!!! Authentic Meat Pies will be available for purchase from DUB Pies.

There will be plenty of Coopers, Tooheys New, Boags and Aussie wine as well as plenty of other brands of beer, wine, liquors, and non-alcoholic drinks. Not that we’re advocating heavy drinking or anything. Just have one of each.

Buy in advance to guarantee entry, save money, receive automatic entry into the FREE raffle, and get a free Magpies stubby holder upon checking in.

Get your tickets in advance for just $50 at http://nyfooty.com/ or pay $60 at the door. We will all be there late into the night so come down as soon as you can to join in. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to an RSL / War Veterans Fund.

2. AUSTRALIA WEEK WRAP UP

Seems like in 2006 New York celebrated Australia Day for a week, not just one day, with several parties, a Ben Graham Longest Kick competition, a game of cricket on Mulberry Street, a massive wine event, and much more.

Thanks to the 450 or so that came out to the Magpie event at Tonic and congratulations to the lucky winners of the door prizes. You know who you are…..drinking your Jacob’s Creek wine or eating your Down Under Bakery Meat Pies or styling on the Subway with your Crumpler message bag or Coopers clothing. Thanks to all our sponsors for those goodies. And how about the greatest Full Back of all time, Stephen Silvagni, showing up and stating that he wants to play one game for the NY Magpies? Yes, please do….

Photos from the event will be available soon at www.nyfooty.com.
